Prince Georges County’s hidden historic treasure! Darnall’s Chance Museum was just that a hidden gem. Our seniors at GNJ Senior Program were captivated as our very informative tour guides Stacy and Meagan spoke with great passion. The tour focused on the women of the house. However, our male seniors were on the edge of the seats, as they listened with there undivided attention. Most of our group said their favorite exhibit was the violin and quote by Solomon Northup (who’s life story inspired the movie 12 Years a Slave). Everyone at GNJ Senior program agreed that we will be returning for future exhibits because of the enthusiasm of the tour guides and rich history of the museum.
