Join Club Memory® – A Stigma-Free, Supportive Community

Are you or someone you care about experiencing memory challenges? At Club Memory®, we provide a safe, informal, and supportive environment for individuals with memory concerns and their care partners (spouses, partners, neighbors, family, or friends). Our community is designed to reduce stigma while offering engaging activities that foster connection, conversation, and well-being.

When and Where: We meet both online via Zoom and in person, with options for phone participation on weekdays. Club Memory® serves all wards in the District of Columbia, ensuring that everyone can find a convenient way to participate.

 2023-2024 Accomplishments

In 2023 and 2024, the Genevieve N. Johnson Senior Center launched key initiatives like the first King & Queen Pageant and an LGBTQ+ event, enhancing senior engagement. We received a $75,000 Alzheimer's grant, expanded our "Caregiver's Lounge," and collaborated with UDC, YMCA, and Howard University to boost wellness and cognitive health. Our "Music Memory Café" and Creative Arts Project highlighted our commitment to innovative senior care.

DC Medicaid Presentation

June 12, 13, and 18th, 2024 - 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Join us for DC Medicaid presentations by Mr. David Kennedy, Associate Ombudsman from the DC Medicaid Ombudsman Office. Presentation Dates: June 12, 2024 @ Ft. Stevens, June 13, 2024 @ Lamond Center, and June 18, 2024 @ Colony House. Topics include medication reimbursement, Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), Managed Care agencies (AmeriHealth, Medstar), and straight Medicaid. Beneficial for caregivers and seniors in Ward 4.
